Critics of President Obama's nominee to head the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division have described Debo Adegbile as “radical,” “dangerous” and “outside the mainstream.” Now he is facing heated criticism for his role in getting convicted cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal's death sentence overturned during his time as a lawyer with the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund (LDF).

Abu-Jamal was convicted of the 1981 killing of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner.

However, both Adegbile's supporters and detractors believe he will successfully navigate the Senate votes necessary to be confirmed to head up the Civil Rights Division in the near future.

The Nuclear Option was at the nexus of a very intricate and devious plan.

Can’t a senator put an indefinite hold on this nomination, preventing it from being voted upon?

It would be news if Obama nominated someone who DIDN’T raise a lot of eyebrows.

Race-baiting commies have been percolating in the halls of academe since the 1970’s. They have a very deep bench.

....and that's just the reaction to how he spells his name!

Obama DOJ pick: Global edict ‘law of the land’

http://www.wnd.com/2014/01/obama-doj-pick-global-edict-law-of-the-land/

Debo Adegbile, President Obama’s nominee to head the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, wants U.S. judges to ensure “customary international law” is “the law of the land.”
Snip
WND has found that Adegbile was an advisory board member to a group that produced an extensive blueprint for Obama to push “human rights” domestically, including using executive orders to ensure against racial profiling.
The 44-page paper, “Human Rights at Home: A Domestic Policy Blueprint for the New Administration,” (http://www.ushrnetwork.org/sites/default/files/acs_human_rights_at_home.pdf)
was drafted by the Soros-funded American Constitution Society.
The paper recommended Obama join multiple U.N. and international human rights groups.

Questions can arise all they want. In our newly revised system of government those questions can go unanswered all they want because this guy is getting in.

I think that is still a rule, but Obastard’s second-best friend in the Senate, Chinless McConnell, is leaning on the rest of the spineless GOPe to not use the rule. We have to hope either Cruz or Lee puts a hold on this.

Can’t a senator put an indefinite hold on this nomination, preventing it from being voted upon?

You mean like Hairy Reed is doing with the Iran sanction vote, even though there is a veto proof majority in the senate that would vote to put the sanctions back in place?
