Hollande Courts Business With Economic Revival Plan

French President François Hollande on Tuesday trumpeted a pro-business agenda of tax and spending cuts to revive France's anemic economy, sidestepping public scrutiny of what he called a "painful moment" in his personal life.

Speaking at a news conference designed to relaunch his presidency that—like France's economy—has been stuck in the doldrums, Mr. Hollande said he would tackle France's chronically high payroll taxes, addressing a long-standing demand of French business leaders.

Mr. Hollande is striving to repair relations with France's business community, which has voiced anger about climbing taxes and alarm that the euro zone's second–largest economy is losing ground to Germany.

"The recovery is here, but it's not strong enough," Mr. Hollande said. "Will France be the caboose or become a locomotive?"

Since his election in May 2012, Mr. Hollande has relied largely on tax increases to fix France's finances with only marginal efforts to pare expenditures. The

From what I hear, Hollande is having an epiphany of sorts. He might rescind the 75% tax.

The Hollande Plan
1) Nationalize all companies.
2) All employees are Unionized.
3) All Money is controlled by government. ie. all pay checks come from the government and we are withhold all your Health, Food and Housing cost in advance.

Because I used to ride the “barf car” out of Grand Central heading to Connecticut. Riders in the barf car knew the latraine was one car down.

Sounds like fun! /s (I took the train from GC to White Plains for a short while in the early eighties...didn’t seem too bad. Maybe I went at the wrong time of day...)

Actually the “bar car” (nicknamed the “barf car” by folks that didn’t drink and wives waiting at the other end) was a lot of fun.
