Via the Standard, emphasis on publicly. Given the way O stresses that word, its hard to believe this wasnt a deliberate (and admittedly funny) dig at Hagan for running away from him when hes in her neighborhood.
But why would he do that? Hes been through two election cycles already as president; as I recall, the only red-state House Democrat willing to share a stage with him in 2010 after ObamaCare passed was Tom Perriello. (Who went on to lose his reelection bid that year, as did lots and lots and lots of other Dems.) As such, theres no reason to be grumpy about Hagan pulling the Barack who? routine at this point.
Why hand the Americans for Prosperity ad team another soundbite to use against her just because she wouldnt give them a photo op to use? Having the Senate in GOP hands next year wont matter tremendously in terms of what does or doesnt get passed, but itll matter a lot to him when theres a new Supreme Court vacancy or when hes looking for back-up from congressional Dems during the next round of budget/debt-ceiling brinksmanship.
Maybe he figures that, at this point, one more unhelpful soundbite cant hurt. The Good Ship Hagans taken on so much water already from ObamaCare, whats another cupful?
Do you ever wonder, though, if this guy imagined even in his darkest moments in the Hopenchange-y summer of 2008 that hed one day be so toxic to the other party that red-state Dems would duck him when he came to town? Thats par for the course for any president, but not every president is a would-be post-partisan messiah.

Whomever Hagan’s challenger is, this just provided an excellent soundbite for the campaign ads.....................
From an earlier post:
“In a hypothetical November matchup, Hagan trails Tillis 43 percent to 42 percent and Grant 42 percent to 41 percent. She trails the other candidates by 2 percentage points.”
With her being substantially under 50%, I’d venture to say, she’s done.
It’s becoming clear why so many Democrat legislators want to extend the duration of unemployment benefits.
Which was Mr. Revenge’s intent of course. Well, that and to provide notice to the other dems to stay in line.
Thanks for posting the video. FWIW, my take is:
It’s most easily explained with “it’s all about him.” Obama seems to be spinning the snub as well as he can.
He loves to taunt people.
Won’t be seen with me huh? This gonna be fun.
He is such a small little man in stature and character.
Over the last 2 weeks, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) has twice mailed my wife (not me) a 8”x24” full color, fancy-cut, multi-fold brochure endorsing Kay Hagen.
My wife has nothing to do with real estate (well, we do live in a house).
Just kind of odd.
Last anti- one was pretty powerful. Middle-aged female (Hagan's prime demographic) talking about Obamacare. Approximately: "I had something I liked. I couldn't keep it. Price is going up 20% this year, and a lot more than that the next."
No hyperbole, just facts, and simply presented.
Hagan is in trouble, and good riddance. Heck, the only reasons she won were because Elizabeth Dole decided to throw in the towel early, and Obama had wide coattails.
Obviously, a lot of Hagen’s bribes are coming from the NAR this election cycle.
She’s working on appealing to the Yankees since she’s already lost the people that belong here.
Because he's a thin-skinned pathological narcissist!?!
He would probably throw his own grandmother under the bus. Oh, wait...
He might even throw his own pastor under the bus. Oh, wait...
Would he throw his own Green Czar under the bus!?! Oh, wait...
