President Obama has been judged to be 'chronically incapable' of conducting a coherent military strategy and 'has no sense of what he wants to do in the world', according to Oxford University professor, Sir Hew Strachan - one of the UK's most respected and senior military advisers.
The damning verdict from a governmental insider of the United States' closest military ally comes days after the president was heavily criticized by his own former Defense Secretary Robert Gates who said that Obama was indecisive and lacked any passion for his nation's armed forces.
Claiming that America and Britain had committed total strategic failure in their near decade-long Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns, Strachan said that the recent failed attempts to intervene militarily on behalf of Syrian rebels 'has left them in a far worse position than they were before.'
Strachan is currently a member of the United Kingdom's Chief of Defence Staff's Strategic Advisory Panel and claims that the 'crazy' mismanagement of the Syrian crisis at the end of the summer was the worst example of the military planning in evidence since 9/11 and that at least President George W. Bush had a plan and stuck to it....

“President Obama has been judged to be ‘chronically incapable’
I just LOVE that Headline....:-)
In all fairness, it's not just Obama. His non-experience renders him simply a puppet. His cabinet, "advisors" and czars are all players in the takeover of the economy, the educational and the social structure of the United States since the seventies. The famed "Fundamental transformation of the United States of America."
That, somehow, the citizens of the U.S. have meekly accepted five years of that type of continuing abuse is mind-boggling. Doesn't bode well for the next three years, since things that "couldn't get any worse" have indeed gotten worse with no end in sight.
I guess we shall see the limits of the U.S. citizenry's toleration for predatory totalitarianism. I hope it's just a matter of time.
Obama wants to be the president for life and rule by monarchical fiat. And play golf when he tires of ruling over the peasants.
DITTO.
...and he's not very good at either one.
I have said since the beginning that he’s nuts and is and has been on meds since before becoming president.
Indecisive, yes. And definitely lacks passion for but possesses great passion against our armed forces!
obama is an evil incompetent, capable only of destructive actions.
...Yes Sir! Put another way, I seriously dis-agree with Strachan because I totally believe this man knows exactly what he wants in this world founded upon his hate for America. Everything in his background screams that hate. To name just a few: ...his love affair with Jeremiah Wright of “God Damn America Fame”, his bowing to those vermin Saudi Arabian Leaders that funded 911, his upbringing by admitted and proud communists, Obamacare, Eric Holder, his dis-respect for the flag, his dis-respect for the military, his wifes statements about hating American, and his daily assault on the constitution. The list is endless.
So, what does he want? He wants a World Government with him it’s initial head communist/socialist dictator..........pure and simple. And, destroying the US in the process is no big deal to him.
I wish there were a way to post Free Republic threads from 2007 when Obama was an unknown, with no executive experience in government or executive experience in any real business not related to political pork.
Freepers had him pegged from the start, unhampered by political correctness or the fear of the accusation of racism.
We all saw him as the incompetent he was then. Arrogance, later, only exacerbated an already hopeless leadership case. Most here today would be surprised how accurately he was perceived at this site.
I hope this new rhetoric is not too little too late. We are a very distressed nation; government= silent coup.
There are indeed clear strategic goals and they've been announced: "Reward our friends, and punish our enemies."
