Legalized medicinal pot has new supporter: Harry Reid

Several Nevada municipalities are issuing moratoriums on medical marijuana dispensaries, but Harry Reid really thinks they should be moving in the opposite direction – toward making medicinal pot legal.

“If you’d asked me this question a dozen years ago, it would have been easy to answer – I would have said no, because (marijuana) leads to other stuff,” the Senate majority leader told the Sun today. “But I can’t say that anymore.”

“I think we need to take a real close look at this,” Reid went on. “I think that there’s some medical reasons for marijuana.”

Reid, who is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is not one who normally rushes to embrace controversial substances.

“I’ve never tried it,” he initially joked, when the topic of marijuana was raised in today’s interview.

No, there are more lds that are dems than republic.
A few years ago Reid received an award from BYU for being a fine example of what a good mormoN should be.
A couple of years later Romney received the award.

Why? Alcohol is legal and people use. They do not lose their license for either just because they a drink. These pills you talk about do not make people high.

Oh he’s a member alright. Caught a Sunday broadcast on a truck radio while working in Iraq... the troops operated a low power channel playing the dj’s choice of music, and on Sundays, a different denomination each week would supply material for a 3-4 hour window. One memorable broadcast had the C of JC of LDS (Mormons) giving Reid praise and accolades in a temple and allowing him time for addressing the moderator/congregation. It made my blood boil and was enough to discredit the Mormons for all time in my military mind. I was actually a DOD contractor and no longer wearing the uniform. The Mormons honoring Reid is as apostate as Catholics honoring Dick Durbin or Nancy Pelosi, or Joe Biden, and as apostate as the Jews are in honoring Joe Lieberman. Baby killers all.

As such effort should include mandatory medical suspension of any DL license and a complete CDL prohibition.

And their guns, too, while you’re out there grabbing things? Of course, you’d know you’d get your butt handed to you if you included the guns as well.

And if not, why not?

Until the price goes up too high. Then it’ll be business as usual.

“{Medical} Caregivers, they note, can sell marijuana to medical patients at the 2.9 percent tax rate, while recreational pot carries a 25 percent state tax, in addition to local taxes.”

Which means it will be business as usual in obtaining pot. Who the hell is going to pay 25% more for it?

Stupid people are going to use drugs, legal or not. End the WOD and the stupid people will kill themselves and stop voting Democrat (in a decade or two).

The revenuers (ATF) are going to replace the DEA busting into peoples’ homes for tax evasion (just as they still smash home distillaries).

No Harry Reid is an opportunist seeking a platform that will attract a block of voters. Want a dim to win? Put pot on the ballot. It works every time.

And Mitt Romney was a member of the dastardly Mormons.

Rats jumping ship for the obvious reason that they can get more tax dollars. It also makes them look “cooler” to the young and ignorant crowd who votes Rat in droves anyway but hey, they could gain an extra few votes right?
