Obama to Dems: Boehner will pass immigration reform in 2014
The Hill ^ | February 17, 2014 | Alexander Bolton

President Obama has told Senate Democrats he expects Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to pass immigration reform this year, defying predictions the issue is dead for 2014.

Obama believes Republicans will feel politically vulnerable, if they fail to advance the issue, a high priority among Hispanic voters, according to Democratic senators who met with the president this week. Obama sees immigration reform as a source for optimism in what has otherwise shaped up as a tough year for Democrats.

Dissolve the Union, get rid of DC’s grip on power and the money pouring into it. Every State on their own.

We ought to start thanking them now, and every day until the Republican majority takes office next January.

They probably keep the House if they do this, but they won't win control of the Senate.

They have already turned off their most enthusiastic part of the base with their attacks on the Tea Party. Why vote if they are going to be the Rats puppets.

There is a reason they are called the stupid party.

**********
They have earned the title. They are literally stuck on stupid. World class fools.

They don’t even realize that the Democrats play the game on a whole different level than they do.

This notion of an immigration keeps Obama from taking more executive action.

I think it could be passed in 2015 with a Republican Senate in control.

Obama will veto any budget a Republican Senate sends to him. I seriously wonder what difference 49 or 51 GOP Senators will make with McCainiac’s still there.

It was stopped in the senate in 2010 and 2007 when Democrats had the Senate majority. With an official GOP majority in the senate I think it will be more likely to be sold as a GOP bill.

I don’t know what tothink. Everything I hear and read is that e are going to be sold out on amnesty by our GOP leaders. But, I call the offices of congressmen who are suposedly selling us out they are admant that their will be no amnesty. What does other people hear who are claling up congressional offices say? If you are not calling why not?

If you call back and tell them you’re in favor of amnesty, they’ll likely tell you there will be amnesty. They have pre-written letters and scripts for every side of every issue. Captiol Hill is a den of thieves. Talk to anyone who has worked there and, with a few exceptions, you will find this to be true.

It’s time for Boehner as well as Roberts to resign. It’s obvious that BO and his goons have some pretty serious blackmail material on these two and it’s causing pain for American citizens. Boehner’s behavior is particularly bad. Does he even take calls that are outside his state? I read that he didn’t otherwise I would call his sorry ass everyday.

Obama sounds confident.

Eric Holder must have the goods on Boehner like he did on Justice Roberts.

Maybe something involving small farm animals this time.

Boehner is a solid candidate for the worst speaker of all time.

I think his pot smoking rastafarian son-in-law would do a better job than he.

they are admant that their will be no amnesty.

It will sound like amnesty.

It will ;ook like amnesty.

It will work like amnesty.

It will stink like amnesty.

The illegals will call it amnesty

The democrats will praise the republicans for passing amnesty.

But the republicans will swear it's not amnesty.

I am still waiting for an answer as to why the amnesty bill passed in the ‘80s that was supposed to be the cure all failed. I think McCain was in on that fiasco that said it would be a one time thing and would take care of the illegal immigration problem once and for all.
Remember it was “hands across the aisle comprehensive compromise” agreed to by Repubs that gave us the shaft.
So, again, what the hell went wrong. Let’s discuss this first before committing the same atrocity.

Boehner has to be seriously compromised. That’s the only logical explanation. He’s a puppet on Obama’s string.

I can’t remember that particular instance. The Repubs do this so often I can’t keep track of every one of their caves ins. And how many times have we gotten the shaft from them? Who can count that high?

and we will be told that not voting for them is the same as voting for the Democrats.

Looking more and more like a vote FOR them is the same as a vote for the Democrats

I’m already done with the GOP — have been since Bush41’s cheerleading on tax increases and never returned — but I have said and will stick by my prediction that the next election after the GOP is complicit in alien invader amnesty will be the day the GOP disappears from the national stage. Like the Progressive Conservatives in Canada they will go from viable to extinct in one election.
