Now you might think it would be an auto executive saying to Biden, “Thanks for saving our #,” although Ford didn’t take the bailout money GM and Chrysler took (although Ford has accepted plenty of federal support in other forms, such as loans for green technology development).

I’d like to know if there is something about Ford I don’t know. I have sworn off Government Motors. I’ve bought 3 cars since the bail out and none are from bail out takers. I’d like to know if I need to cut Ford from the list.

Ford is strong, but Chrysler is now no longer American, as of last week (I believe).

Not sure about any inside information regarding Ford, but they were one of the only ones I know of that refused the bailout.

Even though GM is supposedly off the Government teat, I refuse to go back.From what I understand, the loans or whatever they were called were never paid back in full and GM stole tons from the bond holders. Obama and the Dems gave lots of GM to the union, so screw them. I’m NEVER buying a GM product even if it is 50% cheaper than another product.

IF I was buying new, it’d be a Ford.
But I figured out years ago buying other peoples 200,000+ mile cars for peanuts and driving them till something expensive broke is far more cost effective.

In my line of work, I can’t just buy something out of not wanting to support a company. I have to buy it to work, and it has to work. Ford’s one tons diesels are nowhere near on par with GM or Dodge right now.
I’ve stated before and I’ll state it again, I hope Toyota makes a 1 ton diesel soon.
