DALLAS-It was nearly two weeks ago when an elderly man was beaten to the ground outside a Dallas restaurant. Now police in the city are investigating a similar incident.
The attack happened along Central Expressway near Knox-Henderson.
The manager of a Denny’s restaurant says he found 74-year-old Charles Pace lying face down, motionless and bleeding in the parking lot. It was two o’clock Friday morning.
The woman said it was only when police arrived that Pace started to move, but he seemed confused.
The manager thought the elderly man might have had too much to drink and fell down. Investigators say Pace told them he was headed to the restaurant when he was struck on the back of the head in an unprovoked attack by three men.
A police report reads,”[Responding officers] believe that [Pace] was the victim of the latest ‘knockout game.’”(continued)

My advice to 70 year old guys and gals is invest in a blackjack and if you see 3 or more Amish laughing and coming at you, pick out the biggest one and use the blackjack. Course we would have to come up with a new name to reflect the changed rules. Any ideas?

How much hate do you have to have in your heart to knock out an elderly person just because you can. Sick.
My advice to seniors:
1. If you can avoid it, don't go roaming around after dark.
2. If you can avoid it, stay away from any area near a bus line.
3. If you must violate rules 1 and 2, carry police grade pepper spray. Carry it in your hand, not in your pocket or purse.
Yep, it stinks that such advice has to be even considered.

I would also add, if you see any young black men in the area, don’t bother to try and decide if they are up to something.

A common result of children born with alcohol fetal syndrome is that they have no conscience. For these kids, it isn’t even personal—they have no conscience.
The knock out game is predominantly played by blacks against whites. Maybe it should be called the Black Out Game....
Maybe so, but even without a conscience there had to be a motivating factor. I seriously doubt they knock out everyone they run into.

Many years ago, Oprah Winfrey did a show on personal safety for kids. One thing she said has always stuck with me: If something doesn't feel right, get away from there. Your safety comes before their hurt feelings.

A conscience implies a soul, therefore, they have no souls, ergo, it’s the Zombie Apocalypse.
My thought is that this is terrible advice. I am 68 and still pretty spry, but I could never inflict serious damage on a man less than 50, even with a blackjack. No strength left, too slow, just plain too old.
My ideas:
1. Do not live where there are large numbers of young knock-out game players.
2. Do not live where you can not carry a firearm.
3. Do not rely on any weapon which requires even modest physical strength. You will lose and the weapon will be turned against you.
Many years ago I was walking down a stairwell at work. At the bottom of the stairwell, a few floors below me, was a black lady who I liked and got along well with. She was talking to some other blacks.
She was telling her friends that all whites were devils. I was shocked, and it made me sick to my stomach. It bothers me to this day.

Obama has stoked racism in this country. It is no coincidence that crimes like this are popping up.
They do have that motivating factor. It's the ratings and "respect" points among other thugs - however ridiculous that may sound to sane people. Their "culture" is not connected to ours. Peaceful coexistence is not likely; it's predator vs. prey, wolves and the sheep.
I seriously doubt they knock out everyone they run into.
No, uniformed police officers and Chuck Norris are fairly safe. The gangs only attack those who cannot strike back.
