To: Cyber Liberty

In the early 70’s, there was a bookstore near the university I attended that specialized in used textbooks at good prices. They also sold other stuff like decals, bumper stickers, posters etc. One of the most popular posters showed two cops in uniform standing beside their bikes-one was smoking a joint and threatening a passerby with his gun while the other one was holding onto a frightened looking young woman while his other hand was up under her skirt. the caption at the bottom of the poster read “To preserve and protect”...

I did buy one of those posters-I’ve no idea where it is now, but when I see/hear things like this, I’m reminded of it-again...

That was “serve and protect”-hadn’t thought of it for a long time, but it is still not true...

Could you tell, was it an actual photo, or the 70s version of a PhotoShop?
