True, a dedicated and reasonably intelligent could do at least as well as publick skule in academia and much better in morality. My wife and I took our middle two out of public school and home schooled them because of the negative atmosphere to learning there.

Good point. Character is an important part of true education, and most public schools are antithetical to learning good character.

And the people who worry about “socialization”-who wants their children socialized by a group of their age peers, a good many of whom will be conducive to negative “socialization”?
