(Abortion Barbie) Wendy Davis’ Ex Asked a Court to Order Her Not to Use Drugs Before Seeing Her Kids
Red State ^ | January 20, 2014 | Erick Erickson

News has broken that Wendy Davis lied about her background. She is now playing victim blaming Greg Abbott.

It is her ex-husband who talked to a left-of-center Dallas reporter. It is also her ex-husband who asked a Texas District Court to issue a temporary restraining order against Wendy Davis in 2003.

In that order, the judge ordered that Wendy Davis “be immediately restrained from . . . using illegal drugs or consuming alcohol within 24 hours before or during the period of possession of or access to the child.”

Speaking of the child, at the time her daughter requested her father serve as her managing conservator.

It appears that Wendy Davis did not just leave out key details. Nor does it appear that Davis is just being held to a different standard than a man. It appears there is much more to Wendy Davis than meets the eye.

If I were one of the lunkheads who donated $1 MM to the Wendy Davis campaign last week, I’d be demanding my contribution back.

“...at the time her daughter requested her father serve as her managing conservator.”

That is weird lingo. Can any TX law types fill us in on what that means?

I mean, it’s written very unclearly. Not sure who all these “her”s are.

No surprise this woman is revealed to be a fake, phony fraud. And as I said on another thread I very much distrust women who leave their children.

Yeah, but she’ll still get the nod. Nobody else has the support or funding. Good news for us, because this candidate is DOA.

I wonder if the media will call this an ‘implosion of an extremist Democrat’.... yeah right!

I took it as she wanted to remain with her step father—that the daughter was old enough to request the court to allow her to stay with her step father after the divorce—she didn’t want to live with her biological mother.

Once a dem is in a primary, they can murder a fetus on the floor of the senate room in the state Capitol bldg and not one supporter would retract their support.

This woman is a Barbie and that goes over big for the dems.

She’d be a shoe in regardless

Are you still under the illusion that dem voters have any use for morals and decency other than pointing out republicans’ faults in order to gain and retain power?

I'm not licensed in Texas, but it likely refers to a trust fund as her daughter was a minor. She may have wanted dad to handle her trust fund (if she had one) instead of her mom.

That doesn't raise a lot of alarm bells in and of itself.

Never mind the previous post. Post 7. This does raise alarm bells.

Conservator = guardian.

Castro? But he seemed really off during the televised New Years eve countdown. I can’t stand the Castro brothers.

Democrats have devolved into neo pagan earth worshipers who sacrifice human fetuses regularly. Wendy Davis is a high priestess and has the stench of rotting dead humans clinging to her.

but it likely refers to a trust fund as her daughter was a minor.

In Texas divorces/separations there is temporary managing conservator, managing conservator, and sole managing conservator..

The temp is when the child is with the non custodial parent, but the managing part would be to make decisions..like an er visit..for the child.

Managing conservator is used, IIRC, correctly when there is shared custody, and sole managing conservator is one parent gets custody, and has more leeway in what criteria the non custodial parent must meet in order for visitations..

In some cases, supervised visitation would require a trusted relative or friend be with the non custodial parent when that parent has the child..Not uncommon if the non custodial parent has had a drug or alcohol problem.
