Slavery used to be legal as was child labor.

Today its illegal to make incandescent light bulbs but legal to kill your unborn child.

Marriage at 15 made sense when the life expectancy was in the 30s and 40s. Can’t have big families with lots of children if you’re getting married at 21 and dead by 35.
