Scratch Heritage off the list.
I'd like to see that fleshed out so any good arguments could be layed up against the 2000 pages of k|~ @ |) they plan to pass.
I am really surprised at this.
“We all know immigration is vitally important to our economy.”
Yes, and cancer is vitally important to a cancer patient. A head injury is vitally important to a victim of a car wreck. Obamacare is vitally important to our economy. What a bunch of crap. This is a disappointing hire by Heritage, to say the least.
What is he thinking or is he thinking at all —
Is it possible that Steve was too far to the right for the WSJ? I’m withholding judgment until I see his views as a member of Heritage.
Ping
Heritage is the same boiler room operation that designed the cornerstone of romneycare and obamacare. Anyone paying attention has been ignoring anything that has come from them for a long time.
“what Jim wants me and others to do is develop a pro-growth immigration policy for the country. I dont want Heritage to be viewed as anti-immigration. We all know immigration is vitally important to our economy. Our goal will be to develop an immigration policy thats in the best interest of America, our economy, and allows the United States to get the best and brightest people to come here.”
I’m on-board if this means that only the top foreign scientists and inventors will be invited to immigrate, with such number to be limited to no more than 20 per year. All other immigration to be halted for at least 10 years while we eject the illegals already here and revoke the citizenship of those who came here merely to commit crimes or suck the government teat.
Otherwise, no only “no” but “HELL NO.”
Whatever happened to enforce the laws on the books?
Think tanks are money holes.. and pitstops on the way to the next political opportunity.. or disaster.
Hmmm. Will have to find out more about this. I also didn’t realize Heritage had a Spanish site.
Wonder what Heritage thinks of THIS:
snip-”The US plans to resettle 30,000 Syrian Islamists displaced by the Syrian War, according to the Wall Street Journal. Thats not the story.
The story is that it hinges on their receiving exemptions from laws aimed at preventing terrorists from entering the country.
Why have counterterrorism laws at all then? If politicians are going to ignore them when taking in refugees from a country overrun by al Qeada, then we dont need the laws. We should just let anyone come over.”

So much for those Heritage ads boasting of supporting a conservative agenda.
Heritage and all these other “conservative” think tanks and publications are nothing more than high-paid sinecures for these elitists who are waiting for their turn to take over government and put it to the common folk.
This was forced on DeMint by the board.
He and Larry Kudlow are cut from the same cloth. Anything Big Business does is good, anything that helps Big Business make more money is good, any regulation is bad, privatize profits because that’s good for America, subsidize losses because that’s good for America too, etc.
Stephen Moore was really good until he sold out to the elites early during Prince W’s administration.
Heritage has started its slide to leftism
I love Steve Moore, one of the best free market economists in America. I have known him for 25 years. This is awesome news.
Not only this shows Heritage to be Amnesty Liberal...but also DeMint’s Senate Conservative Fund is Amnesty Liberal.
100% Deportation...otherwise you aren’t Conservative
