Jamie, I’ll keep saying this until it sinks in: I can think of three Obama appointees who are both white and (for now) former presidential candidates. And I don’t particularly respect them either. Biden and Kerry are comic relief, and Hillary got her people killed...but what difference at this point does it make?

It never occurs to guys like this that their own speech comes across as hateful and slanderous to those at which it is directed. Moreover, their accusations of racism are typically based on their interpretation of so-called “code words,” rather than on any overtly racist content. And when people of their own political persuasion express overtly racist and sexist sentiments against conservative minorities and women, they are silent.
