About 10 years ago I had some Internet conversations with one of these German prostitutes. (I don’t remember how it all initiated - probably via some sort of chat room.) Anyway, she worked at a sex club, and she took it for granted that having sex with the owner was part of the price she had to pay for being allowed to work there. I found it all weird and depressing, but she seemed to regard it as all very normal. There was a kind of resignation or slight depression in her attitude, but she insisted she was happy. I had my doubts.
