Well he’s fortunate to be using it in such a limited capacity. If your brother-in-law should ever try to use another OS, I’m sure he’d be surprised (and liberated) to discover how much more intuitive a superior OS can be.

If any of you have any advice, recommendations, or Windows 8 experiences that you wish to share with the rest of us, please do.

The most important piece of software to add to Windows 8 is "ClassicShell" It is free from Sourceforge. It will give you back your start button when in desktop mode.

just because no one wants anything to do with the PC doesn’t mean they are correct. It just means they love that wonderful beachball of death and losing all their work when it shows up.maybe in the music business you don’t have to worry about dropped fonts in an ad a customer doing a chargeback because of a stupid Macintosh computer they can’t handle fonts.

I have a cyber friend that purchased a tablet with W8 on it. After 2 days of not being able to get it to do what she wanted it to do she heeded my advise and gave it away... to her nephew...who emailed me the next day that he didn't like me.
