No, Mr. Obama, we don’t dislike you because you’re black

I despise him and his stupid policies. What's to like about a sniveling, race baiting, communist scumbag?

If his ratings have gone down since he was elected (obviously mathematically provable, even to Lefties), and it's because of racism, then an awful lot of people voted for him without knowing his skin color. One of the stupidest statements he has ever made - but aimed at the Dem's electoral base, one dumbed down by public schools.
I am old enough to have graduated from high school just as this propaganda was starting to be shoved down students' throats.

"...then an awful lot of people voted for him without knowing his skin color." There's another alternative. We may have become even more racist since Obama took office. Now, whose fault would that be?
And more importantly, what would the solution be?
I can dream can't I?
To: SJackson
I only have a problem with Obama’s white half.

Mr. Holder famously said that we, as a nation, are afraid to talk about racism - and then use's a person's disagreement with the President's policies as proof of their racism. It's pretty tough to have a serious discussion about a topic that important with that kind of lead-in.
Is there racism in this country? Yes, and it comes in all varieties. If you are old enough, you may remember a song (Smothers Brothers?) about group "A" not liking group "B", group "B" not liking group "C", etc., and ending with "And I don't like anyone very much." If any FReeper has the lyrics, I would appreciate a copy; couldn't find them myself this morning - neither Mr. Bing nor Mr. Google were my friend today.

Try searching for this on youtube: “the merry minuet Kingston trio”. This may be what you were looking for.

Thanks. That was the song.
