His only mistake was accepting an interview at that moment. He was still in ‘warrior’ game mode. He’s a hell of a player and a sharp guy. He is still a football player and relies on getting angry to perform at the high level needed to do his job.
I've seen lots of other players immediately after games, all charged up, but none of them did what Sherman did.
Look, we all have to fight the perceptions that we give off. Not one person who called Sherman a thug, or worse, will be changed by his excuses or attempts to blame others.
If he wants to change how fans view him, he should look in the mirror. Cut his hair. Take some classes in being a gentleman over the offseason. And next year, when he gives a postgame interview and sounds like the type of graduate his university typically produces, we will remember and he will be forgiven.
But he hasn't figured that out yet.
NFL just released the audio and it was shown on local news here in Seattle.
After the play, you see Sherman walking towards Crabtree and he’s holding out his hand for a shake and he says “Hell of a game... hell of a game!!”
Crabtree responds not by shaking his hand, but by shoving it into Shermans face.
I suspect that if most FReepers were in Shermans shoes, they would react EXACTLY LIKE HE DID!!!
