Hillary's button obviously didn't work...and Russia smiled then as it does now.

It's not just the political and demographics of the world re-setting.....family's and life of are disintegrating rapidly. It is the mind and heart of mankind shifting/following a drummer we have seen and heard increasing year after year. There is little restraint or opposition to... which has the power to do so......it's as if God has said OK now you will have it your way.

would you at least agree that Europe and US are part of the Western civilization

I wouldn't describe modern Europe as evidencing 'Western Civilization'. It's a blend of secular humanism and Islamic militancy. And much of the US isn't far behind.

I would agree that the Eastern church evidences significant errors in theology, but can you say that it is really worse than mainstream protestantism in the US, or the social justice/liberation theology now emerging from the Vatican?

Cream cheese, pickles and bread? Seems entirely with the realm of eastern European food.

Those pics are making me hungry. Yum Yum.

Pickled vegetables are a common element of Eastern European food.

Nothing but admiration for those priests. More spine in those few men than there is in our entire Congress...

Guy is walking around the protest area now with a video camera and not speaking. Remarkable calm. Some are cleaning up, most are smiling. Incessant banging on 55 gallon drums and flag waving.

I am hoping that Ukrainians hold together. They are a great people, much abused over time, not least by the Russians. They deserve better than Yanukovich and his thugs.

Military Moves WITH the Protesters and Yak's Cabinet is breaking off.....this is crucial and appears to me moving pretty rapidly...

Yanukovych has very little support from the military forces. The Ukrainian military forces are made up of forces from the Ministry of Interior (which has 20,000 military men of regular forces and 4,000 of special forces, such as Berkut) and the Ministry of Defence (which has 130,000 military men). The Minister of Defence made a statement that they will not go against people and therefore Yanukovych cannot count on them. Moreover, in different cities and regions, policemen are resigning, individually or collectively. ....... for example, the police simply felt the City Administration with the applause of the activists capturing the city hall. In Lviv, all of the Berkut forces have been dismissed. Support for protesters was also expressed by retired Generals along with ex-Security Service of Ukraine; they have condemned the attack on the protesters. ....

Protesters taking over Administration offices ...many police officers are not stopping them....military Generals and such are beginning to support the protesters...more importantly they are NOT standing with Yanck.

These people are protesting in order to remain free. Free from the oppression of their own nefarious government and free from the iron boot of Russia. This is all you need to know about Yanukovich:

Viktor Yanukovych: From partner to violent kleptocrat

http://www.upi.com/Top_News/Analysis/Outside-View/2014/02/14/Viktor-Yanukovych-From-partner-to-violent-kleptocrat/UPI-74961392386437/#ixzz2tPS7hnw0

These people are defying the tyranny of their own government because they do not want to once again be subjugated under the iron boot of Russia. They are fighting to remain free because they have taken the following words of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn to heart:

The following excerpt on “resisting tyranny” found in “The Gulag Archipelago” best explains why the people of the Ukraine are taking action to defend themselves from their own government:

"During an arrest, you think since you are not guilty, how can they arrest you? Why should you run away? And how can you resist right then? After all, you’ll only make your situation worse; you will make it more difficult for them to sort out the mistake.

"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say goodbye to his family?

Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?

The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! We did not love freedom enough. Every man always has handy a dozen glib little reasons why he is right not to sacrifice himself."

The Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

As you can see for yourself from the live feeds, the Ukrainian people will not "go quietly into the night" of another Russian oppression and Holodomor by again becoming a satellite "puppet state" of Russia. They have been and will continue to do everything within their power to fight to remain free.

Please be praying. Just as Russia attacked Georgia while the world had its eyes on "The Olympics", so the puppet king Yanukovich and Putin are using the same tactics here in the Ukraine to subjugate the people by force while the world focuses its attention on "The Olympics".
