UPDATE: The filmmaker behind "2016: Obama's America" was briefly handcuffed during his arraignment in New York on charges he violated campaign finance laws in 2012. DSouzas bail was set at $500,000 and he was released after promising that one financially responsible person would sign a personal recognizance bond within a week.

But if he had made one of Bush, the same thing would happen???
Angry? Go see his new film, "America", when it comes out in theaters!
I did not know that. This explains Obama’s retribution. Shame on “we” Americans who reelected this Administration. Maybe, Frederickson can you any pictures/film of D’Souza’s arrest in the film. That could be delicious.
There are illegal aliens caught every day who are physical threats to everyone around them, have multiple convictions on their U.S. record to say nothing of what they may have done in Mexico, and they are bonded out for far less than $500,000.
If everyone does not see this as the political thuggery that it is, then they are blind.
Valerie Jarrett on her boring days does more then this, and Terry McAuliffe brags about it.
I recommend he leave ASAP before they lock him up, and they will. I very much doubt after the recent spat between the Indian and US governments, that India would extradite him back here.
What was Michael Moore's bail?
In the meantime we have to suffer the outlaw in the White House.
“Long shot” is a kind way of saying it.
Leave? He's a U.S. CITIZEN! Make OBAMA leave! He took $2 million in illegal foreign campaign contributions in 2008.
He could have made a tax free gift of $13,000 to the candidate.
Then he could have made a taxable gift of $7,000, for a total of $20,000.
At maximum, New York and federal gift taxes on a $7,000 gift would be just around another $7,000-$8,000.
And, obviously, if it was a gift, the candidate would not be obliged to spend it on her campaign, but she could if she wanted to.
So, D’Souza saved $7,000 in gift taxes, but he will have to spend several million to keep himself out of jail.
What an idiot.
Sounds like one or more of the certain people ratted him out.
If these certain people who made the donations were intimidated by the Feds, they may have turned him in to save themselves.- Tom
He has a NEW one coming out, and I hear its even BETTER
ah ,maybe its the real reason for his arrest
I'm told it's the only reason Obummer and Holder are going after him. Can you imagine how many Democratic operatives do this as part of routine campaigning?
“briefly handcuffed during his arraignment in New York”
Let this be a warning for all you conservatives and patriots to get out of the neo-Nazi state of New York. You don’t have the manpower or firepower to take on the crpyto-Nazi Cuomo and his 50 IQ left wing apes.
If there were any honesty in the mainstream media, they would be ripping Team Obama for this crap.
Agree.
First thing I thought about.
D’Souza has 4 “co-conspirators” on this.
If one of them gets in trouble with the law, or if one them drunkenly talks to a reporter or a Left wing activist - BOOM - all four will have to testify against D’Souza or risk a felony conviction.
Let me add to what I said earlier:
On financial issues and criminal issues, D’Souza is an idiot!
Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted and you create a nation of law-breakers and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with. ― Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged
Dinesh, stand strong.
Well....Maybe he would rather spend his time perfecting his craft than studying campaign finance laws.
