You might have suggested that, based on your article, only folks who abstained from sex before marriage and who were either still single or married to their first spouse should comment on the article.
Who am I to say who can, or cannot comment on it?
It wasn’t nearly as common of course, but in the early 1950s we had divorce and Day-Care.
The children of divorce were sometimes treated pretty badly by some people.
The one thing most people are forgetting, as individuals, we can certainly hit rock bottom in our lives from many aspects, job, health, marriages, social statuses, etc etc etc...
I believe it can happen on a larger scale as a nation that has certainly sunk to nearly the lowest common denominator both socially and economically...
I do not believe we have sunk low enough...But we are heading in that direction, and speeding up at the same time...
At which point we take one of two paths...We reclaim this country both morally and virtuously, with a greater appreciation of those principles...
Or we maintain the debauchery and sink into a third world, or lower status around the world...
When Yogi Berra said when you come to a fork in the road...Take it...
I know that sounds funny on the surface, but I think he said that for a reason...YOU are the one to decide which path to take...
I believe the fighting is over at this point, and that the decisions we make in the near future will decide if this nation is worthy enough to reclaim its leadership role in the civilized world...
After the 1989 earthquake that damaged a small section of the SF/Oakland bridge, the replacement was finally opened, more than 23 years after the quake. The entire original bridge was built in 3-1/2 years in the 1930s. And the replacement bridge is still not completed, although it just opened to traffic (undergoing workarounds for sloppy welds etc.).
