President Obama announced a new task force that will combat sexual assault, particularly on college campuses, he said in his weekly address.
"Sexual assault is an affront to our basic decency and humanity. And it’s about all of us – the safety of those we love most: our moms, our wives, our daughters and our sons," the president said.
The White House Task Force on Protecting Students from Sexual Assault "will help schools do a better job of preventing and responding to sexual assault," he declared, adding that the crime affects one in five women on college campuses. "That’s totally unacceptable," he added.
He pledged to continue strengthening the criminal justice system, reaching out to survivors and changing social norms "so that all Americans can feel safe and protected as they pursue their own piece of the American dream."
Because Obama said so.
Dear Obama,
Please stay out of the sexual assault issue and let the law work it’s course on these issues.
Your statement alone is an example of the wrong perceptions regarding this type of crime.
Isnt Rape illegal. How does he intend of stopping it? I bet his plan means hiring more police and start a watch program. If you suspect your neighbor might be a rapist, call the police. and call even faster if you think he or she is a conservative.
This is what we get after he’s ruined our economy and defenses and alliances and jobs.
I have lived through a lot of presidents but I don’t recall one that has tried to micromanage like Obama. What does the president have to do with sexual assault? I really think Obama has serious mental issues.
I’d be interested to know just what all behavior he considers “sexual assault”.
Sorry Ambassador Stevens! Death by anal rape and torture of American diplomats doesn’t count.
This just makes me wonder how many “SQUIRREL!!”’s we’re going to get on Monday.
Ever notice that the wierdo we have for president seems to be obsessed with sex?
He has talked more about sex, recreational sex, condoms and other birth control, homosexualism and rape than the last 43 presidents combined.

He definately has a few screws loose upstairs along with some unresolved issues about his own parentage.
Why doesn’t he just pass a law against it?
Does this mean he is against a powerful central government who has been screwing the populace for years?

As long as it just effects RAPE-rape and not drugging and sodomizing teenagers it outta be just fine.
What I smell here is an attack being set up on white men. Democrats are going to need all the victims they can get. Telling just about everyone they are in under constant threat of being raped by evyil conservative white men is about all they have left.
