I saw the 9-11 exhibit in Albany years ago. They had personal effects that were taken fron the site - just day-to-day things to remind us how the whole world changed on what started out as an average day. There was even a partially crushed fire truck that was salvaged from the wreckage. It was stunning, just stunning. They played tapes from the ground on the day it happened, and to relive those hours was almost traumatic, indeed.

I don’t need a museum to remember that awful morning. Every day at work I go out of my way to avoid the many artifacts and displays that commemorate the day and our coworkers who were killed.
