Coldest Winter in 35 Years?
White House Dossier ^ | JANUARY 22, 2014 | Keith Koffler

Posted on 01/25/2014 9:47:55 AM PST by MinorityRepublican

Now imagine what we’d be hearing out of the White House and other Temples of Global Warming if this were the hottest summer in 45 years.

The stats are starting to come in for this brutal winter of 2013-2014. Now, I understand global warming enthusiasts are claiming this is being caused by . . . global warming. I have one problem with that.

I DON’T FRIGGIN’ BELIEVE IT.

I think we’re just cycling back to a decade of cold winters.

This very cold winter followed an overall very cool summer and colder fall. So all seasons being colder is a sign of global warming?

2007: You see I told you, the warm weather winter proves global warming is true just like our computer models said it would

2008: The warm January and cold snowy February & March prove global warming is causing extremes, just like our computer models said it would

2009: The cool winter is weather not climate

2010: The cold winter is weather not climate

2011: That settles it, the cold winter proves global warming is causing global cooling just like our computer models said it would

2012: You see, I told you, the warm winter proves global warming is true just like our computer models said it would

2013: The warm January and cold snowy February and the record cold &snowy March & April prove global warming is causing extremes, just like our computer models said it would

2014: That settles it, the cold winter proves global warming is causing global cooling just like our computer models said it would

2015: What ever happens in winter will prove global warming is true just like our computer models we will adjust later that year say it will

The bias of the media makes us more aware.

We bask in the warmer winters and the media goes crazy.......but the norm...is a cold, miserable and gets little play.

Except this year....the media pulled polar vortex out of their bag of tricks and they'll use this to make a false connection with global warming.

For years and years....all we've heard is the dip in the jet stream. Now, it's polar vortex.

Wintertime in New York town the wind blowing snow around
Walk around with nowhere to go
Somebody could freeze right to the bone
I froze right to the bone, New York Times said
“It was the coldest winter in seventeen years”
I didn’t feel so cold then

Yep. The winters of the late 70s, early 80s were brutal, then we had mild winters.
Last winter was mild....this winter sucks. It is called seasons.

The Polar Vortex is always there but the media just discovered it. Joe Bastardi explains it being very similar to what happened in 76/77/78 with the circumpolar flow (polar vortex) slipping southward.

hehe

It used to be “Alberta Clipper”. Now we get helpful advice in January, “Don’t put away winter gear yet” from kooks such as Environment Canada.

It has been cold for the last few days here in the heart of Texas—but today starts a warming trend—should get in the high 60’s we are told.

Now, if we could just do something about the horrible drought of the last few years, life would be good.

On the local news weather report they said the record low for yesterday was -19F. That was in 1961. This is a heat wave compared to that.

This cold weather gives me time to save for my AC repair.

Hey algore, I think 73 is perfect, like outside right now.

Can we keep it? You seem to think we can alter the weather and all.......

Two of the primary effects of global warming are cold winters and cool summers. Anyone who doesn’t understand how that works needs to defer to the scientists involved.

So illogically speaking we need less CO2 to have warm winters and warm summers ? The progressive mind is a terrible thing to taste.

From what I’ve read, the winter of 1911/1912 was very cold too.

I think you're right. It's been going this way for thousands of years, why stop now?
