Finally some sensible descriptions of “weapons” capable of mass death and destruction.
Some woman at the Columbia Mall, Md. shooting site today said that she saw policemen with “semi-automatic weapons”.
Oh crap. Another TV brain-addled idiot. Learned a new “word” without knowing what it means. That is how the media corrupt the English language and turn people into jibbering idiots.
The other day I was kidding around with one of our security officers and asked him if the fact that our dog (son’s K9) farted in a closed room and raised the temperature one degree, would he be responsible for “Global Warming”?
He hasn’t stopped laughing yet.
The analogy is if a person is legally carrying a “semi-automatic” (handgun or 22 rifle), are they carrying a “Weapon of Mass Destruction” and/or an “assault weapon”.
Anyone who storms a building with a handgun is an idiot. The same for a 22 cal rifle. They are both semi-automatic but hardly for “assault”.
What I wrote above is just to point out how corrupted our English language/words are, perpetrated by lazy or incompetent reporters, news anchors, and Leftist propagandists.
Word have meanings and when used improperly, consequences.
It is time that we start calling these “misusers” to task and not let them get away with it, be it in the newspaper, on TV, or on the internet.
We are pretty sharp here at FR, so let’s use that “sharpness” of knowledge to cut these fools down to size.

I know that. I was talking about someone in NC that was charged with a weapon of mass destruction for having a shotgun several years ago.
Liberals consider a Saturday Night Special a “Weapon of Mass Destruction.”
I consider liberals weapons of mass destruction.
So is he an adherent of the Russian Orthodox Church, or perhaps a practitioner of the Islamic religion.
I’ll bet it is the latter.
