Not to dispute the point about Orlando, but from what I can discern, the result was as much to do with publicity that more women would be armed and prepared than it was the fact of arming them.
Still… it amounts to the same thing.
The murder rate in DC is 59/100,000. Across the river in Virginia it is 1.6/100,000.
