All the direct relatives, including children, of Jang Song Thaek, the late uncle of Kim Jong-un who was put to death on December 12 2013, have been executed in North Korea, according to South Koreas Yonhap News Agency.
Multiple sources told Yonhap, a publicly funded news agency, that entire families related to Thaek have been executed.
Thaek was convicted of plotting to overthrow North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and the whole North Korean government, and was sentenced to death by firing squad at the end of last year. The North Korean regime issued photos of his arrest.

The brothers I referred to weren't Jewish but from what my mother told me when the surviving brother had a few drinks he would talk. Nowadays he would be diagnosed as having PTSD. From what I was able to discern German POW’s especially SS wouldn't survive the trip back to the rear or when his unit overran a German position he didn't take prisoners.

It may be against all the rules of “civilized warfare,” but I can’t be too judgmental toward U.S. soldiers meting out “frontier justice” to captured SS troopers.

Medieval? No, Korean talent for cruelty to the enemy is a lot older than that.

“Barbaric, and quite Medieval”
Actually it has historical precedence. Look up the story of Yoshitsune and Yoritomo in Japanese history. They were brothers and members of the Minamoto. When their clan was defeated by the Taira clan they were spared due to their age. They eventually grew up and came back to exterminate the Taira years later. From that time on in Japanese warfare when one clan crushed another it was common to everybody from the rival clan
