“...raising your hands in the air is sort of the universal gesture of I surrender.
That is the sign!

Cops fire two shots into him AFTER he raises his hands over his head in a surrender posture. Incredible.Nah, we got einsteins here who think that means it's fine to kill him by shooting him in the back.

Now this one is a legitimate example of police corruption.
And the value of cameras.
Orwell imagined that surveillance would only serve the state. He was wrong, it cuts both ways.

Yeah. He chose to borrow his sisters car when she said no and she thought she would teach him a little lesson.
Turns out she accidentally taught him to push up daisies.

That said, the car thief isn't blameless. There was a moment before the theft when a clear choice was made. Not sure I'd call someone who stole his sister's car a "car thief".
Maybe a creep brother, perhaps.
I think the Sheriff's department had to make it look like he was some Big Time Crimnul...

He was executed simply and only because the cop wanted to shoot him. He caused the officer some hectic time and the officer desired to shoot him because of that.

During and after a chase, few have clear heads. Right. So, if I'm a citizen in a kerfuffle, and I cap some ner do well, and go to trial and say: "It was HIGH ADRENALINE, FEW HAVE CLEAR HEADS AND I WAS AFRAID FOR MY LIFE!"
I WILL go to jail for lots and lots of years.
Only pigs can get away with that one.

It looks as if this was a bad shoot. The officer was not immediately cited for heroism or awarded his instant Vacation With Pay.

I’m a former prosecutor.
That was murder.
No doubt about it.
And what’s equally troubling is that evidently all the other LEOs went along with the story that he was reaching for a weapon (which didn’t exist).
Then the person who videoed the jack booted thugs released the video.
No wonder cops hate it when we video them.

Kind of hard to be reaching for a gun with your hands clearly visible and over your head while turning your back to the cops.
A suspect gets shot twice in the back and the first thing the cops do is put him face down on the pavement so they can put handcuffs on him.
That’s not going to help the government when the civil lawsuit is filed.
To: Clump
As a former prosecutor, would it be fair to say you are not all that surprised at the actions of the cops at the scene and their lying when questioned about the incident?
To: null and void
odd too since they are both pork... 8^)
