Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov resigned on Tuesday in a bid to ease Ukraine's deadly two-month crisis as lawmakers debated key reforms.

Not enough.
They have to arrest the police officers who gave orders to use the live ammo, as well as those people responsible for kidnappings and tortures (one protester was later found dead) Such behaviour by police on such a scale doesn’t have a precedent in Ukraine and if not punished, will become the new norm
Maybe we should look to thee Ukranian opposition for what is needed to stop a despot.
How about arresting the terrorists that threw the molotovs around?
They would if they could but they can’t.
The Ukraines have more demands than that. They want the anti-demonstration law repealed. looks like they’ll get it. They want all people arrested for protesting released and they will get that. The folks demonstrating are not young punks-—most are vets and know how krap works. They also know where to get guns altho they are not bringing them yet. Everyone is bringing something tho. I’ve never seen so many pitchforks and sharp long axes while many just carry a good fighting stick or baseball bat. In most cases I’ve seen pics of the cops ( or National Park Service Brown shirts) are pretty doggone respectful, not wanting a hatchet in the head. Yanakovich just yesterday agreed to sit face -to-face with Vaselly(sp)-—took him way too long to get off his ass but he obviously sees a really bright light coming thru the railroad tunnel-—something Quadaffy, Basher, Mubarach, et al never focused on. It looks to me like the Ukes are going to get it done. And they make my case that if you have to protest, bring your “A “game and all the horsepower you got for the first inning. Escallation sucks.
While the deranged parrots spout nonsense about George Soros:
Molotovs was the response to Yanukovich crackdown on Nov 30, beatings of journalists and non-journalists alike, and attempts to limit individual's rights (Jan 16 laws) Cause and effect - there's a scene in the 2nd Matrix movie about that
Parliament also cancelled those laws today.
You introduce a problem, then you reverse it to look like a problem solver. it’s genius.
Obama should be cancelling Obamacare any day now to fight the fedeal deficit
You make it sound like its ok to throw molotovs at people who do their job and follow the law and who are not personally in any way harming anyone. There are tons of videos of nazi-like protesters throwing molotovs at police officers who are doing nothing except standing in front of government buildings.
The protesters were the first ones to go outside the boundaries of laws - by staging continuous protests in the public square, erecting tents and barricades and disrupting the normal life for the rest of the citizens. The police tolerated them for a while and then decided to do what they are obliged by the law - to stop the illegal activities. And since then the situation seems to have escalated with protesters using molotovs and live ammo.
In any revolution, there are innocents maimed, injured and killed on both sides. It is the nature of a revolution. The velvet revolutions of the 90’s from former soviet block countries are the rarity, not the norm.
I’m not making excuses, just pointing out facts. That is why the revolution is always the last measure, not the first one you take. Because you are pretty much guaranteed the shedding of blood (innocent and guilty alike) when you go down that path.
The thing with the Ukraine is that there are a large section of the population that look to mother Russia still. It would not be surprising if this country splits in two.
Right, that is only because the Sochi Olympics haven't taken place yet. Think Hitler and his Olympics prior to WWII: he was planning for war but made nice because, you know, you got to make the régime "look good" for world-wide propaganda purposes.
Besides, Putin isn't dumb, he doesn't want a repeat of the Russian Olympics the West boycotted because Russia invaded another sovereign country.
But don't be fooled... Putin's thugs are in Kiev and the Ukraine:
It has been learned and widely reported that many of these so-called Ukrainian "Riot police" are in point of fact not Ukrainians at all, but Russians who have been shipped into the country by Putin's government, with the support and cooperation of Ukrainian President Yanukovich, for the express purpose of keeping Mr. Yanukovich in power at all costs. Think of them as his personal Praetorian Guard".
This article will tell you what you need to know about the police throughout the Ukraine:

If we tried such a thing in this country, we would all be shot dead.
You forget, I guess, that the US population outnumbers, out guns, out ammos, out horsepowers, all of our gummints at every level. There is no force anyplace in the world who can out gun a determined band of US Citizens, especially including our own military. You really have to fight the urge to live in fear of stupid government and develop your own plan should heavy-handed brown shirts come to your neighborhood. Or if you work up the nerve to go protest the actions of govment stupidity. You must be prepared to “do unto others-—and do it first “ if things go sideways. Either that or live in fear of every shadow.
I am not afraid.
I expect a massive bloodletting after the Olympics. Obama will do nothing as long as a country is moving toward an anti-American dictatorship.
One more to goooo!
You make it sound like its ok to throw molotovs at people who do their job and follow the lawThis is the law you are defending on this freedom loving forum (on the internet - ironic):
The legislation approved by Yanukovych also envision up to a year of hard labor in prison for anyone convicted of libel, including on the Internet.
When Yanukovich makes a decision to take Ukraine back to USSR, a decision contrary to the popular opinion, you better believe that people will protest and “break the law” by continuing to protest. They will break the law again, if they think the force used by police was overly excessive and the reason for such excessive force was to intimidate and discourage further dissent.
If I remember correctly, United States exists because law was broken.
