I cant stand Obama, makes my blood boil at times just listening to him, or any Democrat for that matter, but at the risk of being totally destroyed, let me ask a question?

Why am I setting myself up for a beating, I guess I am a sucker for punishment.

I was in A Canadian Tim Hortons couple weeks ago in my travels, was in a small town several hundred miles north of Toronto Ontario

The place was jumping, very crowded, was what looked to be about 30 or more employees, all making minimum 10 bucks an hour I understand.

Is that bad, the sky is not falling in this particular case, am told its the same at any Ontario Tim Hortons, and even McDonalds etc and all the big chains

The businesses apparently at least the big chains, are not going out of business because of the minimum wage being 10 bucks an hour.

Am assuming same is true with supermarkets, dept stores etc in Ontario.

So people are making a wage that is not starvation it seems

Am sure it has hurt folks operating a small restaurant , I guess paying your dish washer 10 bucks an hour might be very hard

Just saying, that donut shop chains and dept stores and super markets in Canada are not going out of business.

NOW LET ME HAVE IT, but sky maybe would not fall if US had 10 bucks an hour minimum wage?

just throwing that out there, please be kind :)

We have a system of checks and balances, yet nothing is being done to check the dictator. This once great nation is in a shambles thanks to so many corrupt politicians.

It's OUR fault because WE let them get away it. We should have been hanging these traitors long ago.

Revolts aren't won by votes. It's way past time for revolt.

So now I am a progressive, I am usually called a right wing nut job.

I just posted a observation I made while in Ontario visiting dairy farms.

Nothing in my history here in any of my posts would qualify me to be a progressive in any way shape or form, just made a observation.

I had no idea there were federal contractors making less than $10 an hour, is this what Washington is paying to their contracting agency or is Obama requiring new contracting agency’s to pay their employees in contract at least $10 dollars an hour.

If so I wonder where he is getting all this extra tax payer money? I hope congress is not authorizing it.

I wonder how much longer before these same federal contract workers stop accepting payment in domestic currency.

Congress sets a minimum wage standard below which contractors are not permitted to dip. This doesn’t seem to prevent the president from seeking higher wages in those bids and contracts. It’s a basement rather than a ceiling.

This might edge out some contractors or reduce the profit margin of others but that’s competition in bidding.

Raising the minimum wage while keeping import tariffs at their already ultra low level is a recipe for off-shoring even faster.

Which would seem to make 1rudeboy and the chinese happy.
