In a commercial set to run just before and after President Obama's January 28 State of the Union (SOTU) address, Gabrielle Giffords looks into the camera and says, "Congress is afraid of the gun lobby." According to the Associated Press , Giffords will push background checks as a way to "make it harder for criminals and the mentally ill to get guns." She will say, "9 out of 10 Americans support background checks."
On December 4, Breitbart News reported a CNN poll that showed "50 percent of Americans oppose more gun control," and only "49 percent" support it.

Let’s give these just give these people their own piece of land and they can run it however they want to, and just leave the rest of us the HELL ALONE!!

Wonder how much Goofy Giffords was paid for the acting?

Few will see the commercial. This will be the lowest viewed SOTU in history.
Dang. Two horror shows I’ll miss. Darn the luck. Will mx. mark kelley-giffords have his shoulder length glove on? I’ll have to see if there are any reruns of Kukla, Fran and Ollie on. At least it was an enjoyable puppet show. :>}
I won’t be watching. I’ll get all I need by following some select people on twitter.
Because of the Second Amendment, I don’t support background checks for guns but I do support background checks for knives and hammers and other blunt and sharp objects.
Oh. And I also support background checks for shopping carts. For the children.
Apparently 66 kids/day are injured daily by shopping carts.
As for congress being afraid of the gun lobby. ... You're {expletive} right they are afraid of us! We have the US Constitution on our side and the means to defend it from their plans and desires.
The only ones viewing this catastrophe will be left wing loons, eager for more BS. Nobody is “on the fence” about this “guy”. This will be the lowest rated SOTU in history.
Then that tells us something about what’s on the agenda. Surprise, surprise.
all the mass shooters in the last 30 years have been democrats or children of democrats. And all of them were on prescribed drugs...
The question? "What should be 'banned?"
Yet 5 out of 10 don't seem to understand that you already have to get a background check if you purchase from a dealer, and that by "universal background check" the Demolshoviks mean total governmental control of all person to person sales/gifts, registration, and of course confiscation.
This really is GOOD NEWS in a sense. This will very likely be the LEAST WATCHED of the Clown’s Sham-Wow shows....
So they are really wasting money....This doesn’t persuade or convince anyone.
The real problem is that the networks are so perverted that they give only one point of view an unencumbered chance to speak....in their newscasts AND commercials.....that point of view is LIBERALISM.
The same people who push more background checks (a way to make a list of people they don’t like) don’t even wish to have IDs required for voters. In the long run, a dumb liberal voter is much more dangerous than a person who owns a gun.
