An oil pipeline from Alberta Canada to the Gulf of Mexico will be operated by "tens of people"?!?

The pipeline waiting approval does not go all the way to the Gulf, it stops in Nebraska.

But it is 1,179 miles long. For comparison the 800 mile Alaskan Pipeline employs 800 direct employees and 1,000 contractors. This does NOT include any employees associated with the production and associated facilities on the North Slope, just the main pipeline.
