“That makes him a good fellow POW... but not necessarily a good Senator “

I never said he was a good senator. I said, you will not be able to bully the guy out. You will have to gently persuade him out. Bullying will only make him more determined. Come on. You know plenty of people who are like that.

He could always pull an Arlen Specter and switch parties.

Heh. McCain would switch countries if it kept him in office. He'd much rather be the senator from Aztlan, holding a seat in Mexico City, than be a private citizen in Arizona, USA.

Losers always look for somebody else to blame.

Well, I am too, but our case is different than his. We aren’t azzholes in the first place who need “dealing with”. That’s OUR half of our contract with society. His situation is entirely different.

He’ll have to run as his true Party then: Democrat.

“Conservative voting record” my Left eye... Quisling bitch.

True. A lot of these long-time politicians get pretty comfy where they are, and are difficult to remove... but, as citizens, it's our duty to do our best to remove them when they no longer serve the interests of the people.

McCain has outlived his political expiration date.

I swear, Palin must be indebted to McCain on some personal level we know nothing about. Perhaps he helped her father out somehow, with the IRS snooping, something like that.

Otherwise, why would she want to pay the high price for tossing bones to McCain a couple of times every single year?

It’s inexplicable really, and becoming less and less appreciated by her fans.

Everything he's done has been motivated by spite against someone.

Yeah, it's because he knows the whole world sees him as a dumb ass who is only where he is because of who is ancestors were.

McCain should be allowed to retire with dignity as soon as possible.

If he doesn't, my guess is he'll run for re-election as a Soros funded Democrat.

Waiting to see who calls Palin a RINO for this.

This is going to be a fun thread with many great pictures.

I have news for you, Mr. Skoloff: He’s running no matter what. I’ve said it many times, he leaves office feet first. He’s Senator for life, and knows it. He’s just tweaking us with this “statement.”

I agree with you Rita. Palin is awesome but seems to have an inexplicable need to support McCain even after his presidential team threw her under the bus and limited her effectiveness as much as they could. I sent a donation to their campaign specifically because Palin was on the ticket. She will do just fine if she distances herself from him. She will only harm herself by continuing to tie herself to him.

I don’t understand your reply. McCain/ Feingold was a misguided Bill meant to get big money out of politics.
