I have 3 kids in the atlanta area. One “left work” at 2 p.m. At 5 p.m. she was still in the parking deck unable to get out. Her husband drove to pick her up and had to park 2 miles away, walk to her, then walk her back. They finally got home at 3:30 a.m. (13.5 hours). She works at Perimeter and they live in Forsyth County.
Another daughter ran out of gas on 400. A good samaritan was out delivering gas (at no charge) to people who had run out.
I was on pins and needles all night.
Trains are running but appear to be empty. They claim they will restart some bus service at 8 but I don’t see it happening. If I can I’ll take a screen shot of my GPS. The whole thing is nothing but wreck alerts, cautions and road closings.
I won’t even try to pretend I didn’t enjoy the drive home last night and the drive this morning. I love a challenge. Glad your family is safe.
