We SORTA had rain. It was a drizzle or a mizzle, not like the standard rain.
When I was nine years old I got strept throat and was home from school for six weeks. It was the spring and it RAINED and RAINED and RAINED.
I was in the 4th grade and we had been learning about Noah and his ark. I can remember that I was really WORRIED that the Biblical rain had come to my home city. However, I thought about it and decide that since we lived on such a STEEP hill we were safe.
Thus the nine-year-old mind.
I wish there were more rain. My allergies are KILLING me. I've turned into a pill-popper--Benedryl, any kind of antihistamine I can get my mitts on!
After 12 years of hearings and court. Carlsbad is building a desalinization plant. Will open in 2 years. Capacity will furnish up to 10 percent of San Diego county water.
At the rate the environmentalist string out the approval, the state will dry up before more plants are built.
