Chick-fil-A feeds stranded drivers

A number of motorists who had to abandon their vehicles in the snow on Highway 280 outside of Birmingham, Ala. were able to find shelter in the storm thanks to the kindness and generosity of Chick-fil-A restaurant employees and the restaurant's owner, Mark Meadows.

Once the snow started accumulating, Meadows closed the restaurant and sent his staff home. But a few hours later, many of them returned – unable to get to their homes.

“Our store is about a mile and a half from the interstate and it took me two hours to get there,” manager Audrey Pitt said. “It was a parking lot as far as I could see.”

So Pitt left her car on the side of the interstate and joined a flock of bundled up drivers trudging through the snow.

Imagine the confusion of a stranded, freezing and hungry homosexual’s mind over whether or not to accept a free Chick-Fil-A sandwich.

Yep and seems to ALWAYS be the time I want to go and have this huge craving. I have been making myself stop for dinner about twice a month for the family. Six meals is quite a bit but oh so worth it. The kids really love the stuff. They would eat it everyday and their Mother and I would be in the poor house. lol.

I had the privilege of performing at Chick-Fil-A headquarters in Atlanta in the mid-'80s. They fed us and gave us t-shirts. So I've been a fan for a while.

They're finally building one here, to open in March. I'm hoping to get some kind of part time gig there.

I saw a chart of the volume of Chic-Fil-A's business and it showed a spike up at the original incident ...now, it's leveled out again at a much higher level than before. The boycott has permanently increased their business, lol.
