THIS is the sort of stuff most Americans do NOT want the US government involved in. It's not that we're isolationists. Most of us simply want much, much less interference in other nations. The only exception would be for those nations that directly threaten VITAL US national interests.
I would love to hear either the Obama administration or our own neoconservatives, like McCain, explain how the Syrian revolution is of a vital national interest to the US. While the administration is at it, I'd also love to know why the State Department considers the export of abortion and homosexuality (by arm twisting other nations) is vital to our foreign policy.
