I hope he gets it. He may be a low level traitor, but he’s also done a lot of good, revealing how the NSA and government have gone way beyond their mandate.
Bottom line: He’s more deserving of international recognition than Obama ever was. And, he put his ass on the line to do it.

He revealed plenty of US secrets to China and Russia. High level traitor

He revealed NSA spying and data collection on everyone's electronic communications and telephone calls
NSA only has itself to blame for spying and meta data collection on everyone living here. They are such a shoddily run organization (and probably full of affirmative action incompetents of all stripes) that Snowden was able to download and take gigabytes of sensitive information that Vladimir Putin must have by now . You don't get to seek asylum in Vlads Russia without paying the price
All in all Snowden is a positive for Americans and NSA today is run to expand bureaucrat empires and make sure their dialed in contactors make millions and billions. The bribes and kickbacks must be huge plus you have the revolving door of working for NSA then making really big money working for a NSA contractor. NSA is corrupt and chaotic and if Ed Snowden hadn't done it someone else would have
But probably not in the same timeframe. Thank God Snowden acted when he did, but it would have been useful earlier.
Any later (like a few years from now) and it wouldn't have happened at all because they'd have better guards against leaks.
These freakin' anti-freedom, privacy-destroying, politically-motivated spies are so out of control there aren't words for it.

Federal regulators (EPA OSHA etc) don't get paid unless they over-regulate and kill US industry.
NSA drones and contractors don't get paid unless they over reach on data collection and storage on all US residents
Its all about gettin paid!!! (For Federal parasites also known as alleged workers and contactors)
