They did that in Canada more than two decades ago. The result was more convenient locations, longer business hours (including Sundays) and shorter lineups.
Yeah, and 75 cent stamps and no more home delivery.
I'm no union supporter but Canada Post's problems run deeper even than ours.
It’s hard to believe that the USPS didn’t beat Canada to it. Squawk 8888 has it right — more convenient locations (i.e. locations near you, where you can actually park), longer business hours, shorter lineups. Plus, co-location helps a lot of small local retailers stay in business. Yes, BlfoGuy, Canada Post has its problems — but, co-locating outlets in retail stores is not one of them.
