Senator Max Baucus was supposed to be an easy confirmation ride for the Obama administration, thanks to the clubby Senate atmosphere. Unfortunately for Barack Obama, Ron Johnson (R-WI) asked what should have been a fairly easy question to answer for anyone who has studied our relationship with China in any depth. Baucus ended up admitting that he’s, er … not that guy:

Chinese netizens have reported censorship and suggested that the big flap about the Air Defense Zone was part of an effort to distract people from another big internal disaster. Do our leaders even know this, or are they keeping pipeline disasters secret too?

Well surely he is qualified he was a Senator after all. He knew a lot about Healthcare so much so in fact he voted and pushed for Obamacare and it doesn’t matter that in the end he ad mitts Obamacare is crap. He will just improvise like he did when was he was a Senator. I hope he ends up in a rice paddy

Hey, Dear Leader is no expert on the US either.
Surprised he didn’t say:” Chinese, they make great Food and are really good at Laundry”.
In fairness, you can’t fault him for an honest answer. China is such a complex place it would take years of study to be legitimately considered expert on it.
