Right behind ya, C210N. I’m also in Mass., and I feel your pain.

Still, even here in The Deep Blue, Conservatives always pull a substantial percentage of major votes. The outcome is never 100-0. We are not alone.

I think we need another Lexington.

I think another Lexington is inevitable and the only thing which can prevent it at this point is the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Actually, things are better than in Lexington/Concord times. Today, elections here in MA almost always go 60-40. A few years ago, we had a MA Senate campaign where the R candidate did almost absolutely NOTHING, no ads, no fundraising, no letters, no staff. He got 40%.

Compare that with Lexington/Concord times. It is my understanding that only about 1/3 were Whig/patriots, 1/3 tories (aka, ‘Rats), and 1/3 don’t care (aka unenrolled, unengaged, do-not-care).

That means today we have 33% more of the population in the Conservative/Patriot camp (33% then, 40% now, for a 21% increase in support for the cause). Well, at least here in MA. Back then in the NYC area (Manhattan and Staten Island), it was mostly ‘Rats.
