Madison — In a bit of a political mismatch Thursday, Republican Gov. Scott Walker will meet with President Barack Obama, while Walker's opponent will skip the chance to be seen with the nation's highest-ranking Democrat.

Walker plans to greet Obama at the airport Thursday and talk to him about the state's propane shortage. Walker isn't attending the event Obama is headlining at a GE plant in Waukesha as he touts themes he hit in Tuesday's State of the Union address.

Mary Burke, the Democrat challenging Walker in the Nov. 4 election, will not be at the airport or the Waukesha event.

"Mary Burke has a full day scheduled in western Wisconsin Thursday and will not be able to join the president during his visit to Wisconsin," said a statement from Burke spokesman Joe Zepecki.

In a phone conversation Wednesday, Burke and the president discussed ways to boost employment and catch up Wisconsin's rate of job creation with that of the nation as a whole, according to Zepecki.

"Burke shared the concerns she hears on the campaign trail with the president, including the need for a level playing field with our trading partners, the importance of focusing on the challenges facing small businesses who create the majority of jobs, and the need to make sure middle-class families can buy the goods and services that make the economy go," Zepecki said in a statement.

Walker — who has harshly criticized the Affordable Care Act and other parts of Obama's agenda — said he believed he should meet with the president.

"I don't know about Mary, but for me, I'm the governor, so whether I agree or disagree with everything he's done or is doing as president, it's important for me on behalf of all the people...

Democratic candidate Mary Burke would really, really like to be seen with the President but she has a really just irreconcilable conflict as she has a book due back at the library that day or she will get a 25 cents a day fine.

I wish there was a way to lock all the doors into Wisconsin to keep odumbo out of here. He is the devil himself. I hope Walker will give the creep no quarter.

She is asking Obama for advice and how to "create jobs"? What a dope!

The Dork-O-Dent is alsothe nation’s most stupid idiot, the nation’s prime quota baby, the nation’s first person who want to law school and managed to not learn anything, the nation’s first president who was in a chum gang with a gay guy who got his head bashed in, the nation’s first president with a not one, but two faked birth certificates, etc.

Ha! If Walker is smart, he will parade Obama around the state.

He may run himself in 2016.

Maybe this is why Mary Burke is steering clear.

To ask for relief on the price of Propane. And to be gracious. He is the Governor, after all.

What is more interesting is why Mary Burke, Walker’s Dem opponent, is refusing to meet.

What Gov. Walker really should do, instead of asking El Bozo for propane advice, is to say that he is going to send the surplus money to the rural and small town areas so people can pay for the nat gas that has more than doubled in price due to the Democrats’ globull warming.

This would be an opportunity to return the surplus to the taxpayers instead of spending it as the Democrats will try to do, and it would show compassion for those suffering in this dreadfully cold Mid-West winter...a win/win for Gov. Walker.

Natural gas is up, but Propane has doubled in price. That really affects rural communities that heatwith Propane.

"To ask for relief on the price of Propane. And to be gracious. He is the Governor, after all."

---------------------------------->

Gov. Perry was gracious when Obama flew to Texas and Obama gave him the BIG SHOVE.

Perry was waiting on tarmac with a paper, a white paper I guess, and when he greeted Obama, Obama kinda' shoved him to the side and told Perry to give the paper to one of his staff.

Talk about ungracious!

As governor, Perry did right; Obama was a total jerk - as usual.

If nothing else, where were Obama's manners? Dolt...........

Wonder if Scott will fare better than Perry did. Happy Thursday, afraidfortherepublic!

Walker is going to be seen with Obama as a way of saying "See for yourself, if this yahoo can be President, I can be President too".

If O behaves like a jerk, it will only enhance Scott’s resume. Mary Burke has already looked like a jerk for avoiding the president.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought GE was closing this plant and moving it to China. That’s a weird way to create jobs.

I love the part about Burke’s spokesman saying this: (in a phone conversation w/Zero) “Burke shared the concerns she hears on the campaign trail with the president, including the need for a level playing field with our trading partners, the importance of focusing on the challenges facing small businesses who create the majority of jobs, and the need to make sure middle-class families can buy the goods and services that make the economy go,” Zepecki said in a statement. LOL Scary Mary has to listen to the little people tell her to her face government needs to get out of the way....LOL

Doesn’t Mary Burke know that even though he is President, Mr. Obama has feelings too. This is probably going to hurt his feelings. She should be ashamed.

(Tongue planted firmly in cheek.)
