On January 29th, Beretta USA officials joined with Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam (R) to announce the firearm manufacturer will be opening its new plant in Gallatin, TN.
Beretta had been looking for a location for its new facility after deciding to leave Maryland over the draconian gun laws that state implemented in spring 2013.

To the tune of 300 jobs, and the creation of additional jobs those 300 will cause because more people will have more money to spend. Trickle-down economics? How could that possibly work? I'm also galad they avoided Virginia. The new governor hasn't met a gun ownership restriction he didn't like.

I didn’t see anything in the press release about closing the MD factory. This was described as an expansion, not a move.

the timing of this announcement was especially delicious as Obama is visiting Nashville today....just a few miles south of where the new Beretta plant will be built
And Obama is visiting to talk about jobs...
Nice move by Tennessee’s gov by announcing this yesterday.

What the major US arms and ammunition manufacturers need to do is shutdown sales of product, spare parts, tech training, and any other sales to CA, CO, NY, CT, MD, MA, NJ and other anti-2nd Amendment states that deny their citizens’ rights. Let the state agencies worry about getting new equipment or repairs or training or ammo or any other form of assistance until they restore their citizens’ Constitutional rights.

I don’t own one but I have always thought that their PX4 Storm Compact .40 S&W with 12 round mag would make a nice addition to my stable.

Just personal note, but I believe the pistol is too light for the round. Does it spit lead pellets when you pull the trigger? Yes, but try making repeated double taps. Therein you get a good measure for how effective you will be with that particular weapon system. I cannot make good second shots, quickly, with any 40 cal I have ever shot, except the Taurus OSS DS. But that one is too big for personal carry in the 5 inch barrel model. Again, personal opinion, I think the Bersa Thunder 9 UC Pro is possibly the most perfect balance of rounds and controllability for a carry pistol. For home defense the Beretta 8045 makes me smile ...
