I had a conversation about teenage girls with a friend the other day. it was our observation, that most the young girls we knew in high school, were not able to describe to us the occupation of their father. They seemed to be quite ignorant of it.
on the other hand, the guys we knew could explain their father’s occupation, often with a healthy dose of disdain.
I’ve observed this in my own daughters... bless their hearts. I don’t care about the fact that they were not interested in my occupation.
Didn’t George Clooney say that to his daughters, he was still Dad the dork, something to that effect?
Daughters have their own agenda, and at age 13-18, it has little to do with Dad.
I’d be more worried if they did have political opinions. Anyone who is 16 and younger and has political opinions larger than “save the polar bear”, I would have serious worries about.
