I agree with much of what is stated but I also am apprehensive, too.
It is wrong that the Muslim Brotherhood was supported and I am glad that the Egyptian people were able to throw them off.
I see at the top where it seems to be suggesting overthrowing our government and at the bottom support for Carter.
I couldn’t live under the Egyptians new constitution, it isn’t my idea of freedom but it is what they wanted—so be it.
I want to restrain our government but I don’t wish to overthrow it and most probably end up with a new Constitution.
Good luck Egypt and I hope all goes well for you and that our government stays out of your business but no, I don’t want what you have.
Our government has been overthrown.
As far as Carter is concerned, I doubt those outside the US truly understand what a disaster he was. But Obozo is much worse. The part of Carter's quote that states we should not be the world's policeman is correct.
As far as our government is concerned, there is nothing wrong with our existing constitution. It is the judicial interpretations and the out of control bureaucracy of DC that is the problem. It is TIME to DownSize DC!
I agree, I would not like to live under the new Egyptian Constitution either. But it is much better than what preceeded it. The problem with personal liberty under a Muslim state is irreconcilable.
