Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Palm Beach Post Have a Twitter Kerfuffle Regarding Her Outfit
Broward New Times ^ | Fri., Jan. 31 2014 | Jess Swanson

Everyone knows The Plastics wear pink on Wednesdays and, in another uncanny similarity to Mean Girls, everyone knows congresswomen wear red on State of the Union Tuesday.

Apparently there's even a memo about it because Palm Beach Post Editorial Page Editor Rick Christie was quick to tweet to the SOTU-hashtagging masses that Debbie Wasserman Schultz obviously didn't receive the aforementioned memo -- She was wearing a dark blue blazer (gasp!).

And remember it's not so much what the Congresswoman said, but the not-red blazer she was wearing as she said it.

Rick Christie tweeted it first. Even though he would eventually delete the tweet from his feed, the Palm Beach Post considered Christie's tweet to be an incredibly insightful remark that all 31,100 of their followers should know. So they retweeted it where the fossil of Christie's fashion commentary remains.

But then, in true ass-whooping feminist glory, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz herself tweeted back at the Post and Christie to put them in their place. (FYI: according to the Congresswoman's Instagram, she was wearing that blue ribbon in support of families who lost unemployment benefits in December.)

The soft focus lens helps, but nowhere near as much as the hours of photoshop they must have used...

That must be photoshopped. DWS has never been that pretty.

Indeed. Adobe must've ported their software to one of NSA's supercomputers.

It isn't even the same person, Vogue must be so proud. Did they get some photo shop of the year award?
