This is Private William Welch Company C 208th ECB. He and my Father sent Christmas Cards for over 50 years. I think I got the last one in 2007 when Daddy was in the nursing home. Daddy was 89 and suffering a bit from old timers disease. Welch wrote that he was in bad health and going blind. I wrote back telling him Daddy was in a nursing home. I never received an answer and suspect Welch has passed but not certain. I wrote again when Daddy died at age 90 but again received no response. I guess they are both gone now.
