After the war, Daddy took literally hundreds of pictures. After he died, I noticed that nearly all of them had disappeared along with his papers medals etc.

I belive my oldest Sister got most of it and then gave it to her children. I am grateful to Ruth Schumi who I think is the daughter of Harold Nelson for accumulating all these pictures then sending out the entire collection to everyone she could find.

My Father had a very good camera. It was an ICA with a Carl Zeiss lens and a Compur shutter so his pictures tended to be a bit better than many of the others but like I said, nearly all his have disappeared over the years.

Ruth Schumi is a considerate woman for distributing what she has to others.

Thank heavens there were those like your father who chronicled the times as well as served their country so valiantly!
