While many take offshore jobs, mainly seamen, I do not know of girls doing it. My wife does not know ANY.
This may be somewhat regional, such as from very crowded Manila, but not so popular with girls in the provinces.
The girls here are very much into pulling in men from Europe and America to live here. The idea of a very Catholic girl going off to some Muzie torture is a bit hard to swallow.
Actually my experience has been with non Manila girls. Most of the ones living in Muslim countries are from Mindanao, which has most of the Phil Muslim populations. Surigao, Iloilo, Leyte . . they are from lots of places. Indonesia brings alot to HK and Singapore also.
Thru social media they are able to meet hometown girls and others from their country. I bet a substantial part of domestic helpers/maids/nannnies are Filipinas or Indonesian Muslimas.
