Just as the Soviet Union expanded while on Carter’s “watch”.
Before OPEC and Palestinian terrorism, Lebanon was the most prosperous and most free country in the Middle East (except for Israel, of course).
Today, the northern portion of the country is held by Sunni backed al Qaeda terrorists, and the south is held by Shiite backed Hezbollah terrorists.
Does Obama know about this? No? I’m shocked, I tell you, shocked!
Let me see. Al Qaeda knows that it is in Syria and Lebanon. We know that Al Qaeda is in Syria and Lebanon. The people of Syria and Lebanon know that Al Qaeda is there.
Only Obama, Brennan and Kerry don’t know that Al Qaeda is in Syria and Lebanon.
Am I picking up some type of pattern?
Lebanon does indeed have a lot of potential. It could be a real economic jewel in Asia Minor. But the folks just keep putting up with these low rent grifters, leeches, power brokers, and other 12th century tribal geeks. At some point the young folks there are also going to have enough of the backwardsass management and start throwing out the flying carpet baggers.
